Therapeutic Approach

Here at Parade Chiropractic, our treatment approach is aimed at fast symptom relief and lasting good health. Many people come to Chiropractors suffering pain of one sort or another. Quick pain relief is often the initial goal and many techniques are available to try and achieve this result.

Joint manipulation, massage and trigger point therapy are traditional chiropractic techniques used extensively. In addition, trigger point dry needling is a very effective tool for quick pain relief and lasting release of muscle spasm. Sometimes electrical therapy like ultrasound and low level laser may be appropriate especially for ligamentous trauma and sporting injuries.

Many pain conditions are associated with long-standing body patterns resulting from repetitive work practices and static or sedentary, everyday postures (think computer work or standing at a bench preparing food).

We will assess whole body alignment from the feet, hips, and the spine to the skull and jaws. Misalignments and functional stress in any of these areas can cause the body to be overworked in other regions. The underlying cause of the condition is not always where you feel the most pain.

We will then advise you on the overall state of your structural health and make suggestions about how re-alignment therapy, targeted exercises and postural improvement can lead to lasting symptom management. The aim is lasting good function and wellbeing, not just temporary pain relief.

Sometimes foot arch support (orthotics), or changes to the dental bite (intra-oral appliances), might be necessary for long term correction and we will make appropriate recommendations.

All costs and treatment options are thoroughly looked at in a no-pressure discussion, with you, the patient, choosing what best suits your needs and resources.

Our Chiropractors have many years experience and much to offer in helping you via treatment but emphasis on preventative self-care, exercise, postural improvement, stress management and diet is central to our approach.
